The holy town of Vindhyachal is situated at a distance of 76 km from the other sacred town of Varanasi. Named after the Vindhyas ranges this place is believed to be where after her birth the goddess had chosen to reside forever. Ayodhya-Ram Janma Bhumi

Ramjanma Bhoomi, Ayodhya Overview Translating to Ram's Birthplace, the Ram Janmabhoomi is believed to have been the birthplace of the Hindu deity, Lord Ram. According to the Indian epic Ramayan, Ram, Lord Vishnu's seventh manifestation, is said to have grown up along Ayodhya's river Sarayu. The Ram Janmabhoomi is a highly revered site for Hindu devotees. After being a conflicted site for decades, the Ram Janmabhoomi land was handed over to a trust by the Supreme Court of India to build the Ram Temple. The groundbreaking ceremony for laying of the foundation stone for the Ram Temple of Ayodhya was performed on 5 August 2020 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The proposed design of the temple is grand and magnificent.

Sangam City Prayagraj

Triveni Sangam is the confluence of the Ganges (Ganga), Yamuna, and the mythical Sarasvati River. Triveni Sangam is located at Prayag – the area of Allahabad (Prayagraj) neighbouring the confluence; for this reason, the confluence is also sometimes referred to as Prayag. The Ganges and Yamuna there can be identified by their different colours – the water of the Ganges is clear while that of Yamuna is greenish in colour. The third river, mythical Saraswati, is called invisible. A place of religious importance and the site for historic Kumbh Mela held every 12 years, over the years it has also been the site of immersion of ashes of several national leaders, including Mahatma Gandhi in 1948. The auspiciousness of the confluence of two rivers is referred to in the Rigveda, which says, "Those who bathe at the place where the two rivers, white and dark, flow together, rise up to heaven."

Bodhgaya

Bodhgaya is where Buddhism began. All pilgrims and Buddhism followers are fond of this place and the legend attached to it. Chunar Fort

The Chunar Fort was established by Maharaja Vikramaditya, the King of Ujjain, in honour of the stay of his brother Raja Bharthari. It is believed that Raja Bharthari left his body and took Mahasamadhi at this fort, a servant disciple is still taking care of the place and offers deepam dhupam to the Raja everyday (as of 8 November 2011). As per Alha Khand in 1029 AD. King Sahadeo made this fort as his capital and established the statue of Naina Yogini in a cave of Vindhya hill and put the name as Nainagarh. King Sahadeo built a stone umbrella based on 52 pillars in the memory of the victory on 52 other kings, inside the fort which is still preserved. He had a brave daughter who got married with Alha the then King of Mahoba whose marriage place in still preserved with the name of Sonava Mandap. Beside this some other stories are also related with the fort as Magna- Deogarh, Ratan Deo’s Burj (tower) and King Pithaura who named it Patthargarh as well.

Birla Temple

Birla Temple is located in the BHU campus in Varanasi. There are nine temples in the BHU campus of Shiva Lingam, Nataraj ji, Mata Parvati ji, Ganesh ji, Panchmukhi Mahadev, Hanuman ji, Mata Saraswati ji, and Nandi ji. The tower of the temple is known as the tallest temple tower. Even it is tallest to the Qutub Minar in the New Delhi.
Opening time of the Temple : 4 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 9 pm. Aarti time Aarti timings are 4 am, 4.45 am, 10.30 am, 11.45 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 6.45 pm, 7.30 pm, 8 pm and 8.45 pm.

Durga Temple

The temple has a rectangular tank of water called the Durga Kund (“Kund” meaning a pond or pool.) The temple has multi-tiered spires and is stained red with ochre, representing the red colour of Durga. The Kund was initially connected directly to the river thus the water was automatically replenished.

Tulsi Manas Mandir, Next to the Durga temple is this modern marble sikhara-style temple. Built in 1964, the walls of the temple are engraved with verses and scenes from the Ram Charit Manas, the Hindi version of the Ramayana. Its medieval author, Tulsi Das, lived here while writing it and died in 1623.

Ganga Arti at Dashaswamedh Ghat

The Varanasi Ganga Aarti takes place every sunset at holy Dasaswamedh Ghat, near Kashi Vishwanath Temple. It differs from the aartis at Haridwar and Rishikesh in that it’s a highly choreographed ceremony..Gange aarti takes place at 6.45 PM in the evening after the sunset for around 45 minutes at the Dashashwamedh ghat in the Varanasi. Devotees have started to come to see the Gange aarti at least one hour before.
